- This record represents the sonar-deep-research line served through the Perplexity Sonar API with asynchronous execution and reasoning effort. Perplexity ended Sonar Chat Completions support on September 27, 2026: synchronous and streaming requests are being reformulated as Agent API requests, rolling out by model, asynchronous requests are no longer supported, and the Agent API lists no sonar-deep-research model, only a migration mapping to its high preset. Other Sonar siblings, the Agent API presets, and the platform itself are separate boundaries.
