- This record represents the sonar-pro search line served through the Perplexity Sonar API. Perplexity ended Sonar Chat Completions support on September 27, 2026: synchronous and streaming requests are being reformulated as Agent API requests, rolling out by model, and the Agent API lists no sonar-pro model, only a migration mapping to its fast preset. The Pro Search mode is a parameter of this model, not a separate release. Other Sonar siblings, the Agent API presets, and the platform itself are separate boundaries.
