- This record represents the sonar-reasoning-pro line served through the Perplexity Sonar API, the named successor of the December 2025 deprecated sonar-reasoning model. Perplexity ended Sonar Chat Completions support on September 27, 2026: synchronous and streaming requests are being reformulated as Agent API requests, rolling out by model, and the Agent API lists no sonar-reasoning-pro model, only a migration mapping to its low preset. Other Sonar siblings, the Agent API presets, and the platform itself are separate boundaries.
