Upstage's open-weight 250B-parameter mixture-of-experts language model with 15B active parameters, a 1M-token context from hybrid linear and softmax attention, and reasoning and tool calling for agentic work in Korean, English, and Japanese, published under the Apache-2.0-based Upstage Solar License without a developer API.

- This record represents the upstage/Solar-Open2-250B release announced July 22, 2026. The predecessor Solar Open 100B, the NotaAI INT4, INT4-GlobalPruned, and NVFP4 quantizations, Upstage's forks of Transformers and vLLM, the proprietary Solar Pro and Solar Mini API models, and the Upstage Playground trial that ended July 31, 2026 remain separate boundaries.
