- Renamed from Windsurf on 2026-06-02 following Cognition's July 2025 acquisition of the product, IP, trademark, and brand from Exafunction; the vendor states that only the name and branding changed, so this is one record under the rename rule rather than a supersession. windsurf.com and codeium.com now redirect to the Devin Desktop product page, while legacy Windsurf plan settings, the team admin portal, the remote-indexing console, and the Windsurf editor plugins keep the Windsurf name. The record is distinct from the published Devin record, which is the cloud agent Cognition sells as a separate SKU.
