Memobase
The clearest worked example of agent memory as a configurable, editable user profile plus an event timeline over an ordinary database, rather than a similarity search over accumulated facts.

- Development stopped in January 2026 with several unanswered contributions, and the maintaining organisation's readme now opens by promoting a separate project that makes no reference back to this one, so no successor is declared and the supersession rule does not apply. Every first-party hosted surface is unreachable: the homepage and cloud sign-in return not-found, the playground fails, and the documented cloud host does not resolve; only the documentation site answers. The self-hosted path is intact, which is why this is not the dormancy shape that holds other candidates. No published runtime names it as a backend; its integrations run one way from its own clients.
