MemOS
The most complete open memory service organised around explicit per-user, per-agent memory cubes, shipping both a self-hosted server and on-device plugins, even though the runtimes it targets have not yet reciprocated.

- Product boundary
- Paper-associated but maintained by a company with a hosted product, a release roughly every one to two weeks, and a multi-platform continuous-integration matrix, so it passes the test that excluded paper harnesses. No published runtime it targets names it as a backend; its integrations run one way from its own adapters, unlike Hindsight and OpenViking, which were confirmed from the runtime side. Plugin directories declare a permissive licence in their manifests with no licence file, and a vendored third-party desktop app carries its own.
